Dr. Perry A. Wasserlauf

Dr. Perry A. Wasserlauf, DMD has practiced in Fairfield, CT since 1999. He is originally from Cherry Hill, NJ. He attended Emory University for his undergraduate degree and went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now a part of Rutgers University) for his dental degree, which he received in 1996. In his final year of dental school he was selected for and participated in an externship at UMDNJ in Stratford, NJ, where all clinical dentistry was performed in an Advanced General Dentistry (AGD) residency-like setting. Dr. Wasserlauf went on to receive his certificate in Periodontics from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery of the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He was Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2005.

Dr. Wasserlauf was President of the Bridgeport Dental Association from 2006-2007 and President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists from 2013-2014. He is an active member of the Bridgeport Dental Association and Connecticut State Dental Association serving on various committees within those organizations. He also maintains his certificate in the American Board of Periodontology as well as membership in the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association.

In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Wasserlauf has been a clinical instructor at the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport since 2003.

When he’s not practicing Periodontics, you can find Dr. Wasserlauf in spin class, playing basketball, golfing, swimming or spending time with his family.

Dr. Wanda Lanzone Hannigan

Wanda Lanzone Hannigan, DMD has been affiliated with Fairfield Periodontics since 2004. She is originally from a NYC suburb, North Valley Stream, New York. Dr. Lanzone Hannigan earned her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and her degree in Dentistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine in 1984. On her graduation from Fairleigh Dickinson Dr. Lanzone was awarded the American Academy of Women Dentist’s Award for Leadership.

Dr. Lanzone’s postgraduate education included a General Practice Residency at Metropolitan Hospital in NYC, NY. Her training there included all aspects of General Dentistry with a concentration in Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry. Her residency was followed by five years of general dental practice in New York.

Dr. Lanzone chose to channel her field of practice and received her Certificate in Periodontics from the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in 1991. While attaining her postgraduate training and after, Dr. Lanzone was a clinical instructor at the Columbia dental school.

Presently, Dr. Lanzone is an active member of the Bridgeport Dental Association, the Connecticut Society of Periodontists and the American Academy of Periodontology. She also teaches as a clinical instructor at the Fones School of Dental Hygiene.

Dr. Lanzone’s interests outside of her practice of Periodontics include gardening, swimming, hiking with her schnoodles and cooking new dishes to share with her family and friends.
